Terms of Use
Effective date: March 21, 2026
Last updated: March 21, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Torve website, mobile app, TV app, and related services. By using Torve, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. About Torve
Torve is a media discovery, organization, sync, and playback application available on Android mobile and Android TV. Torve helps users discover, organize, and access media content through features such as AI-powered search, watchlists, cross-device sync, and personalized browsing.
Torve does not own, host, license, or distribute third-party content. Users are responsible for the media sources, services, accounts, and content they choose to access through or alongside Torve.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by applicable law in your country, to create an account or use Torve. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Torve with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
By using Torve, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. User accounts
Some features of Torve require an account. When you create an account, you agree to:
- provide accurate and complete registration information,
- keep your login credentials secure and confidential,
- notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised, and
- accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may delete your account at any time through the app or by following the instructions on our Account Deletion page.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Torve for any purpose that violates applicable law or regulation,
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to Torve systems, accounts, or data,
- interfere with the security, stability, or performance of the service,
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Torve app except where permitted by applicable law,
- use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the service without authorization,
- distribute, sublicense, or resell access to Torve, or
- use Torve to facilitate access to content in violation of applicable copyright, licensing, or intellectual property laws.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or engaged in conduct that harms the service, other users, or third parties.
5. Third-party services and content
Torve may allow you to connect to, configure, or interact with third-party services, accounts, media sources, APIs, or content providers. These are provided by independent third parties and are not operated or controlled by Torve.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights, licenses, subscriptions, or permissions to use any third-party service or content source you connect to Torve.
- You must comply with the terms of service, acceptable use policies, and licensing terms of each third-party service you use.
- Torve does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the legality, availability, quality, or accuracy of third-party content or services.
Torve's role
- Torve acts as a user interface and organizational layer. It does not host, stream, sell, redistribute, or sublicense third-party content.
- Torve is not responsible for outages, changes, content removals, policy changes, or account actions taken by third-party services.
- If a third-party service becomes unavailable or changes its terms, Torve may update or remove related features accordingly.
Community extensions
- Torve supports community-built extensions that use the Stremio addon protocol. These extensions are not created, hosted, endorsed, or verified by Torve.
- Extensions are installed by you and run on third-party infrastructure outside Torve's control.
- You are responsible for the extensions you install, the content you access through them, and your compliance with applicable laws and the terms of the extension provider.
- Torve does not include any built-in stream sources. Stream availability depends entirely on the extensions you choose to install.
6. Intellectual property
The Torve name, logo, branding, website, app software, user interface designs, and original written content are owned by or licensed to Torve Media. All rights not explicitly granted in these terms are reserved.
These terms do not grant you any ownership interest in the Torve service or its underlying technology. Third-party trademarks, logos, and brand names referenced in the app or on the website belong to their respective owners.
7. License to use Torve
Subject to your compliance with these terms, Torve grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Torve app on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
This license does not include the right to:
- modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Torve app,
- distribute, sublicense, lease, or lend the app to third parties, or
- use the app for commercial purposes without written permission from Torve.
This license terminates automatically if you violate these terms or if your account is terminated.
8. Purchases and billing
Torve is free to download. Premium features are available through optional paid upgrades.
Premium access options
- Torve offers two premium upgrade options: a monthly subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase.
- The monthly subscription provides premium access for the duration of the active billing period and renews automatically unless cancelled.
- The lifetime purchase provides permanent premium access with a single payment.
- Pricing is displayed clearly before purchase through the relevant app marketplace or the Torve website.
- Once purchased, you are entitled to use premium features under the license granted in these terms.
Refund policy
- Purchases of Torve are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where the relevant app marketplace independently provides refund handling under its own policies.
- Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer refund rights you may have under applicable law, including EU, UK, Australian, or other consumer protection frameworks.
Marketplace and payment-processor billing
- Purchases made through Google Play (in-app) or Paddle (on torve.app) are processed by those providers and are subject to their billing terms, payment policies, and refund procedures. See our Refund Policy for our own goodwill window.
- Torve does not directly process payments for purchases. Questions about payment, billing errors, or refund requests should be directed first to support@torve.app; we will route them to the appropriate provider where needed.
9. Beta and experimental features
Torve may offer beta, preview, or experimental features from time to time. These features are provided "as is" without any warranty, may change or be removed without notice, and may not perform as expected. Your use of beta features is at your own risk.
10. Service availability
Torve strives to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times or free from interruption, errors, or defects.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice, for maintenance, security, legal, business, or technical reasons. Where practicable, we will provide advance notice of significant changes.
11. Termination
By you
You may stop using Torve and delete your account at any time. Account deletion permanently removes your account data as described in our Account Deletion page and Privacy Policy.
By Torve
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the service if we reasonably believe you have materially violated these terms, engaged in abusive conduct, or if required for security, legal, or regulatory reasons. Where possible, we will provide notice and an explanation.
Upon termination, your license to use Torve ends immediately. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Torve service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
Without limiting the foregoing, Torve does not warrant that:
- the service will meet your specific requirements,
- the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free,
- any content accessed through user-configured sources will be accurate, legal, or available, or
- defects in the service will be corrected within any specific timeframe.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including statutory consumer guarantees under EU, UK, Australian, or other consumer protection frameworks.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Torve, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with:
- your use of or inability to use the service,
- any third-party content, service, or conduct accessed through the service,
- unauthorized access to or alteration of your account or data, or
- any other matter relating to the service.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these terms or the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Torve in the twelve months preceding the claim, or fifty euros (EUR 50), whichever is greater.
These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based and even if Torve has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Torve and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- your use of the service in violation of these terms,
- your use of third-party services, content sources, or accounts accessed through Torve, or
- your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
This obligation does not apply to the extent that the claim arises from Torve's own negligence or willful misconduct.
15. Privacy
Your use of Torve is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data. By using Torve, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Torve Media is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, nothing in these terms limits your rights under those laws or prevents you from bringing a claim in your local courts.
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at support@torve.app to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to address your concern within 30 days.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required by applicable law, provide additional notice.
Your continued use of the service after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, unless applicable law requires a different process.
